Samoa Tsunami 2009 Appeal!

"Thanks so much for giving those of us currently living overseas the ability to donate online and thanks so much for the great work you are doing.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been trying to track down an appropriate organisation to donate to and was very happy to find a link to your website while reading about the Samoa Tsunami Celebrity Benefit Match at Eden Park tomorrow on skytv’s website.

Times like this I really wish I was back home in Auckland and had studied a more practical skill, whereby I could actually go to Samoa and be of some practical help.

It has broken my heart to see the sadness and devastation brought on your lovely country. As a palagi born and bred in Auckland, whilst I am not Samoan by heritage, I feel an almost indescribable affiliation with my Samoan friends. As a passionate Auckland and All Black rugby supporter and Christian, Michael Jones has long been a role model for me, it has been great to read of the wonderful work that the likes of Michael and Inga have been doing, along with the likes of Tialata, Fatialofa, Stanley and Lam with the charity events this weekend.
